Aug. 5-8 – Camp U-Turn

This is the first time U-Turn Ministries held its week-long day camp in Dresden and St. Andrew’s was honoured to host.  The theme was School of Rock, based on the movie: build your life on the Rock, when we are overwhelmed, go to the higher Rock.

A total of 20 kids took part — with a large crew of counsellors and helpers in the background.  Lunch and snacks were provided and no child was turned away for any reason.  Each day began in a large group: music and messages based on the theme, then they break into small groups for games, snack and craft. Afternoon fun events (water, balloons scavenger hunt, bouncy castle etc) took advantage of the great weather all week. The final 20 minutes was a large group gathering/reminder of the theme.

Camp U-Turn is run by the same folks who will operate The Underground teen ministry at St. Andrew’s in the fall.

2025 Dresden Christian Concerts

A ministry of DRESDEN & DISTRICT CHRISTIAN MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION

Dresden Christian Concerts returns for a full season in 2025 and a new location –Rotary Park – a cozy venue with a large covered stage in the heart of town.
Dresden is one of the few places in Ontario where local churches work together to present music and a message in a public outdoor venue. Each evening typically includes 50 minutes of live music and a 10-minute message. The concerts are free but an offering will be taken. It’s been a local tradition since the 1960s.
While the drive-in option remains, the new location has more limited parking – so come early! Or bring lawn chairs and sit on the lawn under the shade.

The music begins at 6:30 p.m.
